The hike to Praia do Perigoso is considered moderate and follows a natural trail with uneven terrain, exposed sections, uphill and downhill stretches, and scenic views along the way. The round-trip route is approximately 4.2 km and usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours to complete, depending on the group’s pace, weather, and trail conditions. It is recommended for travelers with a reasonable fitness level who enjoy active outdoor adventures.

At Praia do Perigoso, you will have time to relax by the sea, swim when conditions are safe, and take in the beauty of one of Rio’s most special wild beaches. Located in the Barra de Guaratiba region, Pedra da Tartaruga is known for its turtle-like rock formation and panoramic views over Praia do Perigoso, the surrounding wild beaches, mountains, and Rio’s western coastline.

The experience may also include a scenic drive through Rio’s western coastline, passing beautiful beach areas such as Barra da Tijuca, Reserva, Recreio, Prainha, and Grumari, depending on logistics and traffic conditions.
