This 90-minute surf lesson is designed for beginners and first-timers, but it can also be adapted to your level and pace. Instead of taking place at a fixed beach, the experience follows the best surf conditions of the day, helping you enjoy better waves and a more suitable setting for learning.
Depending on the ocean conditions and your profile, your lesson may take place at beaches such as Arpoador, Ipanema, Barra da Tijuca, or Macumba.
Before entering the water, your instructor will introduce you to the fundamentals of surfing, basic technique, and ocean safety. Then it’s time to paddle out, practice, and enjoy the thrill of catching your first waves in Rio de Janeiro.
After the lesson, the experience continues with a visit to a scenic viewpoint — a beautiful, hidden gem known mainly by locals.

Shared experience – Ideal for travelers seeking a fun surf class in Rio at a more accessible price, with meeting-point arrangements. Minimum of 2, maximum of 6 participants.
Private experience – Ideal for couples, families, or small groups who prefer more flexibility, comfort, and personalized attention. This option has a single price for 1 to 4 participants and includes pick-up and drop-off at your hotel or accommodation, plus snacks and drinks.
