Where to watch the 2022 World Cup in Rio

The 2022 World Cup is coming, and Cariocas love to have a party to watch the Brazilian team games! We like to invite friends to watch the games at home or in our favorite bar with a lot of food and drinks. But there are also VIP parties being organized. And it was with this in mind that we created this list of the main events that will take place in the Marvelous City.

1. Copacabana Beach (ARENA BRAHMA – free of charge event)

Av. Atlântica, close to Av. Princesa Isabel - Copacabana

The “official event” is the Brahma Arena which will take place on Copacabana Beach. It will have the largest infrastructure, with a big stage, sound, light, bars, food court, restrooms, a medical center, and a vast security apparatus, including surveillance cameras. In addition, one of Brazil’s giant high-definition screens will provide the public with the best World Cup broadcast experience! All this with your feet in the sand!

Prices: The event is free of charge, but to participate, you will need to book your ticket on Sympla.

WORLD CUP WITHOUT HUNGRY!

The ticket to the Arena Brahma FIFA Fun Festival Rio 2022 is free! Repay all this joy by donating 1 kg of non-perishable food at the entrance to the event. 2. Morro da Urca

Av. Pasteur, 520 - Urca

A large arena will display the matches of the Brazilian team in Morro da Urca. In addition to renowned bands and singers, the event has the incredible participation of the sunset at the end of each event and tickets to the Sugarloaf cable car.

3. Jockey Club (Village Cup)

Santos Dumont Square, 31 - Gávea

In addition to large screens showing all the 2022 World Cup games, the event has an extensive food court with several gastronomic options, a Ferris wheel, toboggan, zip-line, and bungee jump, and a covered stage with shows. All this on a beautiful lawn facing Christ the Redeemer.

4. Itanhangá (Ginga)

Itanhangá Island will also broadcast the games with a line up of shows and other sponsor actions. In non-Brazilian games, the broadcast takes place simultaneously with the party.

5. Planetarium (FILL THE CUP)

Rua Vice-Governador Rúbens Berardo, 100 - Gávea

The Planetarium at Gávea neighborhood will also be the stage for events on the days of the Brazil Team’s matches. Open Bar is expected in the event’s early hours, plus a mega tent to display the games.

Prices: Tickets from 100,00 BRL + tax fee. It is possible to buy the single-game tickets or the multi-game package.

6. Our choice: Bar Bukowski

Rua Alvaro Ramos, 270 - Botafogo

Bar Bukowski is the oldest rock house in Rio de Janeiro. Located in Botafogo, in a large house with a covered outdoor area, the house is preparing a party so that its customers can cheer together for the Brazilian team. The event will take place in all Brazil matches, and the house will open 1 hour before the time of each game.

For the event, the house promises:

– Heineken released throughout the 1st time (considering additions)
– Collective toast for each Brazil goal
– Heineken bucket promotion (buy six, get eight)
– DJ playing the best Rock songs

Prices: The passport for three games costs 200,00 BRL (1st batch), while the ticket for just one game costs 75,00 BRL (1st batch).
